ABOUT US

Owners

Becky Brow and Dan Geukes

We are Dan and Becky from Brevard County Florida. We both have been touched by these situations in society. I have many close family members who have served our country in the military. Some came back with PTSD, both mild and debilitating. Fortunately, they did not fall through the cracks, but so many are not as fortunate and are desperately in need of temporary or permanent housing. Dan’s father was a correctional officer for 32 years and saw many minor offense inmates being released back into society with nowhere to go. All that these people need is a chance. Just a little help to get back on their feet. We call it a Stepping Stone back to a new life fulfilling the “Need, Support, Compassion, and New Life” one stepping stone at a time. Our homes are based off the business model of Kate’s House Foundation. In a shared living home, people get support from each other while living together in one home, each having responsibilities while taking care of their own space.

Transitional Housing in Florida

Our Mission Statement

We are committed to making a change in the homeless situation. We provide beautiful homes in great neighborhoods for those in need. We have a good neighbor policy whereas all the residents pitch in to do their part in maintaining organization and cleanliness of the home. The atmosphere is one of Zen, tranquility, feeling safe, and working together. Stepping Stone Home 4U Foundation supports and empowers individuals by providing safe and clean, sober-living housing. We offer transitional housing to assist in moving others toward self-sufficiency.

Who We Serve

Shared living homes, often referred to as sober living homes or transitional housing, play a crucial role in supporting individuals on their journey to recovery from substance abuse, addiction, trauma, or bad choices made in life. These environments provide a structured and supportive community where individuals can rebuild their lives after completing initial treatment programs. One of the key benefits of shared living homes is the sense of camaraderie and the understanding that residents share. Being surrounded by others who are also committed to sobriety and improving their situation creates a supportive atmosphere that fosters accountability and encouragement. This shared experience helps individuals feel less isolated and more motivated to stay on the path to recovery.

Moreover, shared living homes offer a transitional space that bridges the gap between the highly structured environment of rehabilitation facilities and the full independence of returning home. This transitional phase allows residents to gradually reintegrate into society while still benefiting from a level of support and guidance. Our homes have house rules and curfews, helping individuals establish routines and develop essential life skills. Additionally, we offer means of access to support networks, reinforcing the importance of ongoing mental health care in the recovery process. Overall, shared living homes serve as a vital component in the continuum of care, providing a safe and supportive environment for individuals in recovery to navigate the challenges of rebuilding their lives.
